Take Your Book To Lunch
In the UnJab Book List there is a wealth of information. Reading just a few we soon find ourselves stepping into another world – though all around us are those still living in ignorance. Many of them would be happy to read some of these books – yet they don’t know they exist. Let’s take our books to lunch and show them off. There is a long history in the civilized world of reading a book at the diner or carrying books around in general.
Of course, I don’t mean only lunch. There’s breakfast and even dinner at the diner. Find a spot near the door or the cash register where many people pass by. Two books I especially recommend are The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health, by Robert F. Kennedy Jr and Neither Safe Nor Effective: The Evidence Against the COVID Vaccines, by Colleen Huber because they are packed with references. But what if someone remarks on how interesting the title is?
A great way to give them the book information is to have a bookmark with the title and author so they can look it up later and order or find it at the bookstore. Here is how you can easily make your own bookmarks: First open a word processing application and type in the title and author. Set the format to be double column and repeat copying and pasting the title/author until the page is full, lining up the two columns to match. Print the one page of that document and then cut out your bookmarks. In our example, the author has two great books so I put them both on the bookmark.
I also made 100 bookmarks for The Real Anthony Fauci by ordering a custom business card set with the front cover of the book. I had some room below so I added some places to buy the book. Have the bookmark in the book as you read it at the diner. Then if someone is interested, just say “here, take this bookmark.” Whoops, you left one on the table. Whoops, you left one on the newspaper rack out front. Whoops.
Some other places to take your book are to the School Board or City Council Meeting. What if half the audience had books? Imagine the shock of the School Board or City Council members! They like to think they know it all and their meeting audience doesn’t know anything but seeing all those books will certainly rock their world. You can also quote from the book while holding it up as you make your public comment after the meeting. Have plenty of bookmarks to give them as well.
There are lots of busy places to read such as the bench at a busy park. A bus, subway or airliner are all places to read where people will notice your book. Then there are medical facilities – they really need to read these books and of course there is plenty of wait time in the lobby – especially if you get there early.
These books are your invitations to the land of the blind so remember: always be an ambassador from the land of knowledge. Yelling “Read this book, ignoramus” won’t work so well but a smile will. Sometimes I warn interested people in a nice way as I hand them the bookmark: “If you read this book prepare to have your mind blown – but it might be worth it!“ If you try taking your book somewhere let me know how it went in the comments or send/post a photo. It’s always fun to read books so have a great time!
